“Our love story, like many in the world we live in, began on social media. He sent me a friend request and liked a great amount of my pictures and shortly after finally messaged me, which I obviously replied to the pursuit. We officially met at a football game where my friend talked him half to death while I sat silently. He basically asked if we could ditch her some way somehow which we eventually did and ended all night long. We most definitely hit it off and I look back on that night often. I was on the shyer side of things but he was so sweet, funny, and down to earth. Just your typical heartthrob country boy with a red Ford. Long story short, we kept in contact with each other for years. Went on dinner dates and small trips as friends. We were both busy starting our careers as young adults, him as a lineman and me in healthcare. We eventually settled down together and began our lives under the same roof. We had some of the absolute best times of our lives traveling, doing the things we loved and sharing our previous experiences with one another and just having pure love for each other. On one of those traveling dates, as a complete surprise to me, proposed and here we are! It’s truly been such a beautiful journey building up to our big day. Not only have we been through almost every aspect of life together but we’ve built such a beautifully strong foundation. We went from best friends, to significant others, to home and land owners, to parents, and lastly husband and wife. We are both hard workers and go getters. Our goals align with each other and we kick ass together. Not only for us, but for our son. The most pivotal moment in our lives was having our sweet baby boy. Parenthood came to us so naturally and we are so so grateful we get to experience it together. Planning our elopement was the most fun, yet stressful decision as there are so many beautiful places out there but we chose Colorado for its convenience for a toddler and pup, which was a huge factor. Nonetheless we always knew eloping was our way to go! We both have never been fans of big crowds or too much attention on us. So with our love and history of travel, this was definitely the best choice for us. Choosing to elope at the gorgeous Selah Chalet was the best decision we ever made. The property itself is beautiful and the views are absolutely stunning. You can see Mount Princeton right outside the window, just showing off. My beautiful makeup artist was so sweet! She impressed me in the best way and I appreciate her picking up my last minute appointment (due to cancellation) with no questions asked. My makeup was flawless!! Of course with so much planning, you’ll always forget something. For us it was florals. I want to thank Goode Things for picking up my gorgeous bouquet order at a moment’s notice and hand delivering them to us. Most importantly, our photographers with Karina Noelia Photography did such a phenomenal job capturing our entire day. They were so personable, sweet and accommodating to whatever we had to do. Not to mention our personal hype woman all day! We have never felt better about our decision! It was an amazing experience and I’d highly recommend Karina to anyone looking for less of a robotic shoot, but rather an interactive, naturally flowing elopement, with absolutely no pressure. Our day was more than we could’ve asked for and they were a huge part of it. We are forever grateful to have traveled to such a beautiful place and met some of the most genuinely wonderful people. We are absolutely thrilled to share our day with others. Safe to say we cannot wait to be back!”
