Soulful Autumn Wedding at A-Frame Club

May 2, 2025 BY: Amy

“Maddie and Kyle married in the fall at A-Frame Club in Winter Park, Colorado, a collection of A-Frame cabins with an adjoining restaurant, patio and lawn. As east coast natives, and partners for eight years before getting married, Maddie and Kyle — who have lived in Denver since 2020 — wanted their wedding to be a reason to share one of their favorite mountain towns with their wedding guests. The mid-century coziness of A-Frame Club’s cabins and restaurant made for an idyllic weekend in Colorado’s high country. ‘One of our first decisions in the process of getting married was locking in A-Frame Club as our wedding location. It was really important to us to find a unique spot that served as a gathering place for our friends and family for the entire weekend. All of their 31 cabins were occupied by us and our guests, which was a highlight of the weekend — we saw loved ones each time we stepped out of our cabin, and the ease from having our ceremony and reception on A-Frame’s property was ideal for us and our guests. We planned the wedding ourselves, and we felt happy with how we could include — or not include — certain wedding traditions. Because of that, too, we made such great connections with all of our vendors, and couldn’t be happier with how the partnerships worked out. Every partner was incredibly patient and kind, and helped to make our day a roaring success. We woke up to sunshine on our wedding day, privately reading our vows over a cup of coffee before taking a bike ride along the Fraser River Trail. Our photographer, Parker, is a documentary-style wedding photographer, and she did an amazing job capturing our day in such an organic way. As soon as our ceremony began, there was no time when we felt like we ‘had’ to stop for photos. It was completely organic, and allowed us to relax with our guests for the cocktail hour and remainder of the night. We opted to ask our loved ones to give toasts during cocktail hour, which felt more relaxed, and skipped entrances and first dances so that the night was less structured. The weather on the actual wedding day turned cooler with an afternoon shower, which of course, was not planned (but very Colorado) — but that didn’t stop us from dancing the night away under the disco balls on the patio. The vibrant colors of the changing aspens, combined with an overnight snow, gave our guests the mountain send-off we had always hoped for.'”
