Sophisticated Summertime Wedding at Winter Park Resort

“I chose to have three different bridal looks to reflect various aspects of my personality and the day’s different vibes. My first look was a long mermaid lace dress with a cathedral veil, embodying classic elegance for the ceremony. For the reception, I switched to a low back beaded gown that added glamour and sophistication, allowing me to celebrate with confidence. Finally, my after-party dress was a sexy short cocktail dress adorned with white roses, capturing a fun and playful spirit for dancing the night away. Each look made the day unique and memorable, celebrating love, joy, and my personal style. Bridesmaid dresses: I chose olive green bridesmaid dresses for my mountain summer wedding because the color complemented the natural landscape beautifully. It evoked tranquility and harmony, blending seamlessly with the lush greenery. The flowy fabric ensured comfort while adding an elegant touch. Choosing olive green as an accent color for my wedding was a natural decision, especially given the stunning mountain backdrop we selected for our special day. The rich, earthy tone of olive green perfectly complements the lush greenery and rugged beauty of the mountains, creating a harmonious blend with the surrounding landscape. I wanted the wedding to feel organic and connected to nature, and olive green embodies that essence beautifully. It evokes a sense of tranquility and balance, which was exactly the atmosphere we aimed to create. The addition of white roses added a touch of elegance and romance to the overall aesthetic. Roses have always held a special place in my heart, symbolizing love and beauty, and they complemented the earthy tones of olive green perfectly. Together, these colors captured the spirit of our mountain wedding—simple, yet breathtaking, and a true reflection of our love story set against a backdrop of nature’s grandeur. I chose an espresso martini as my wedding drink because it perfectly captures my love for coffee and adds a fun, modern twist to the celebration. My husband’s choice of an old fashioned reflects his classic taste and appreciation for timeless cocktails, showcasing our personalities through our drink selections. For dinner, we opted for a veggie tower and filet mignon to cater to a variety of tastes. The veggie tower offered a fresh, colorful option that celebrated seasonal produce, while the filet mignon provided a delicious, hearty choice for those who enjoy a classic steak dinner. This combination allowed us to create a menu that was both sophisticated and inclusive, ensuring our guests had a memorable dining experience. Cake: We chose a one-tier vintage cake for its charm and simplicity. The red velvet flavor is a favorite, and the classic white icing created a lovely balance. With ‘Just Married’ on it, the cake added a playful touch and symbolized our new journey together, making it a memorable centerpiece for our day.”
