“Arian and I met in the summer of 2018 through mutual friends. Our first date was the Basque Festival in downtown Boise, and we just never separated since. After five and a half long years, Arian had planned to propose on the Oregon Coast. The night before I had accidentally let it slip, I didn’t want to get engaged on the beach. Knowing we had a hike the next morning, Arian decided to propose then. We went to Drift Creek Falls, with a beautiful waterfall nestled in Oregon. In front of the waterfall, I jokingly asked Arian if he promised he loved me, and he got down on one knee, ring in hand, and said, “I can make you a forever promise.”
