Softly Lit Rehearsal Dinner in Paradise Valley with a Western Flair

June 29, 2026 BY: Amy

“The night before our wedding, we wanted to create something that felt unmistakably us – personal, thoughtful, and a little Western-chic. We were deeply involved in every detail, making sure the evening reflected our story and the people we love most. From custom cowboy stir sticks to cocktail napkins featuring our beloved golden retriever Dash sitting inside a martini glass, every touch was intentional. We wanted the night to feel warm, full of love, and like the perfect beginning to our wedding weekend. With Camelback Mountain as our backdrop, El Chorro felt like the only place to host it. The breathtaking views and timeless charm of this iconic Paradise Valley destination went hand in hand with our theme. We titled the evening ‘Cocktails and Churros,’ complete with a festive churro bar that felt playful, celebratory, and perfectly desert-inspired. We began the night in an intimate way with our wedding party and closest family on the Bocce Lawn and at the Classroom Bar, a meaningful way to slow down and spend intentional time together before the big day. Our incredible florist, Kelly Ott Martin, sourced individual horseshoes for each guest’s place setting at dinner – a nod to luck, love, and the Western spirit woven throughout the evening. After dinner, everyone joined us just as our invitation read, for cocktails and churros under the desert sky. It was relaxed, joyful, and the perfect way to start the weekend surrounded by the people who mean the most to us.”
