“Gino proposed on our rooftop! He surprised me with rose petals and candles one Friday afternoon under the guise of a friends birthday. It is our first home together and where we watch many of sunsets from. So thoughtful and catered to us and our life that we’d already started building together. We wanted an untraditional wedding from the get go. Having lost our original venue in Michigan to permitting issues, we had to quickly come up with a Plan B less than a year out from our wedding date. We landed on a small more dinner party style reception approach where we could stay at the home we got married at all weekend long with our family. It was incredible to celebrate all weekend long together (we had a pool party the day after the wedding) in such a gorgeous place. We wanted a food focus, intimate, ethereal and romantic celebration and it was everything we could have asked for and more! Plus we got to jump on party buses and go hit the club to dance the night away after the dinner party style reception.”
