“This wedding is a dream come true for Shane and I. We met in Toronto in 2018, and Shane proposed on one of New Zealand’s sacred mountains, Mount Eden, in 2022. For our wedding, we wanted to honour our ancestors and our mothers. Both of us were raised by strong single mothers, so we made our wedding day a celebration of their resilience and love as well. Instead of a traditional first look, we did a double first look with our moms. The ceremony was intimate, shared with our closest and dearest, and it was truly a day to remember.
