“What a venue for such a celebration. A sacred place with views of the majestic mountains, glorious skies and the undeniable grace and grandeur of God. A place that both Coty and Cole cherish. A place that is home to the Bond family that they have so graciously shared with us today. The very place that Cole asked Coty to marry him, exactly one year ago from today. We have gathered all those closest to Coty and Cole, their family, and their dearest friends, to their most sacred place which has now become the venue for this wedding ceremony, celebration, and the beginning of their marriage and everlasting life together. Cole and Coty want each of you to know, they are deeply grateful to be able to share this very special place with those they love most. Now let’s take a moment to reflect on the love story that brought Coty & Cole to this special day- as we prepared for the ceremony, I asked Cole and Coty to share some of their ‘love story.’ As I read their words and reflected on their relationship, a few themes emerged. Their relationship has already stood the test of time and distance; their love for one another has deepened as they shared their family and friendships; and growing up together (from high school – college – careers and adulthood) intensified their love and validated their commitment to one another. The nine-year love story between Coty and Cole has already had many chapters written since the commencement of their relationship back in 2014. With long distance being the main theme the first five years, the miles between the two only strengthened their love through shared experiences with each other and friends. Many weekends spent traveling between Oxford, Ohio and Poughkeepsie, New York created new memories and chances to explore and pursue their passion of travel. Adventurous souls, who shared a love for food, music and concerts, outdoors, travel, dancing, and quality time together. With such happy times and joy that these travels brought, the time apart is what built their foundation of trust (an element of their relationship from the very beginning that both Coty and Cole reflected on being so grateful for) and longing to be together. The strong relationship between these two has built over the years and not without assistance from those closest to them. The friendships made by Coty and Cole, along with the unwavering support and love from their families allowed them to be confident in themselves and one another even when they weren’t physically together. Cole’s friends became Coty’s, Coty’s friends became Cole’s (something truly special that many of you here have been able to witness over the years). And Coty’s family became like family to Cole and Cole’s to Coty. One of the most treasured aspects of their relationship is how close they are with each other’s families and friends. Now, in the city of Chicago where they call home, the chapter of finally being able to be together without planes, trains and automobiles squeezed into weekends was no more. Adulthood had unlocked the chapter of new beginnings, careers, and the chance to develop their relationship even further. Cole and Coty have supported and prioritized each other through each chapter of life and I am so excited to see what’s in store for them in the next chapter.”
