By rule of the Islamic faith, both Kelsey and Abe expressed their desire to take life on as one, before friends and family, their love and desire to marry is genuine and true. In that divine moment the father of the bride was asked for his acceptance to marry his daughter to the groom. A predetermined gift was presented to the bride, which is often the wedding band, in modern times. At last, the two love birds have proclaimed their love and acceptance aloud, a binding marriage contract has been signed with the Imam leading the way, and witnesses close to the newly wed couple, signing off. From that moment in time, etched in our hearts forever, Kelsey and Abe wed by Islamic guidance. Two souls on fire, God made for one another, were bound together. Kelsey wore a beautiful green dress at the Nikah. Women often wear green at their Nikah because in Islamic tradition, green is considered a sacred color, symbolizing paradise, purity and new beginnings. She wore a green Nikah Shawl over her head. After their Nikah, Kelsey changed from her green Nikah dress to a stunning white gown from Casa Bianca designed by Mikaella. She then walked down the aisle again to share traditional christian vows to honor her side of the family. Following both private ceremonies Kelsey and Abe celebrated their wedding with a big reception with all their friends!”
