Santa Fe Wedding with Warm Desert Tones

February 2, 2023 BY: Bailey
“Rob and I met via Hinge while we were both living in Nashville, TN. We texted for about 6 weeks before I agreed to meet up (without canceling plans at the last minute). Our first date was in Centennial Park in Nashville. It was January, and it was freezing cold, but we spent hours, until after the sun set, just talking on a park bench. I don’t know if I believe in love at first sight, but I do know that when I met Rob, I knew something special was beginning. Only two months later, encouraged by the start of the pandemic, we made the choice to move in together. I couldn’t imagine limiting our time together. This part of our relationship, where there was nothing to do other than be with each other, is one that I cherish. We spent days watching reruns of early 2000s reality shows, listening to true crime podcasts, and taking the dog to every Nashville area park we could find. In October 2020, we took our first vacation together to The Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe, NM, where we ultimately were married. We fell in love with the laid back vibe of the city, the desert air, and each other. A year later, we moved to my native Colorado and began our life here. I wanted my wedding to be simple, but with some boho/desert flair. Growing up, I always imagined myself wearing pink at my wedding. I found the perfect romantic, pink reception dress and built the color palette around that: desert pinks, reds and oranges. I also wanted to include pops of gold in reference to the Taylor Swift song “Invisible String”, which references the beginning of a relationship at Centennial Park in Nashville, and she sings “One single thread of gold tied me to you.” I couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful day for our marriage and beginning our life together. All of our vendors did an amazing job capturing what we asked for and going beyond in service delivery. Santa Fe will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
