Rustic Evening Nuptials with a Western Flair

“Evann and Connor’s story began in a very unexpected place, outside a nightclub in Las Vegas. The pair felt a connection they had never experienced before, which led them to going on a first date together, but when the weekend came to a close, they both returned to their separate realities—Connor’s in Salt Lake City, and Evann’s almost 2,000 miles away in Toronto. While the odds were against them, something kept their connection alive, and six months later Evann moved to Utah to give their relationship a real shot. The couple built a fun and fulfilling life together skiing the Wasatch Mountains, biking the Southern Utah deserts, and fly fishing the rivers in between. The couple fell in love with Utah, and six years later, they made the decision to plant permanent roots there. As they began the process of building a home, Connor took Evann to their future homesite at sunset. As they watched the sun dip behind the mountains, Connor asked Evann to start forever with him as he dropped to one knee. They toasted the occasion with their favorite whiskey from High West Distillery, which is where they planned their dream wedding, tucked into the mountains where they fell in love. The couple planned a fall wedding with a mountain western theme. They let the rustic venue and spectacular mountain views speak for themselves, while adding hints of personal details such as table numbers named after the couple’s favorite activities together. Cocktail hour included handcrafted High West classics and passed hors d’oeuvres, whiskey tastings and tours, and live music from the Michelle Moonshine Trio, who performed ‘Cover Me Up’ for the couple’s first dance as husband and wife. Guests enjoyed dinner under candlelight, followed by a night of dancing to the couple’s favorite Utah DJ, and as a nod to the western theme, riding the mechanical bull.”
