“As outrageously cliché as it sounds, our day was perfect. The gals spent a slow morning enjoying breakfast, coffee, and a few mimosas while the lads played 9 holes of golf. The sun stayed out all day, the night was warm, and we danced until the music was (politely) shut off. Our wedding was on a June Saturday in Kelowna, British Columbia; 78 people were in attendance. One of the most important things to us during planning was to have quality, relaxing time spent with each of our guests. Festivities started on the Thursday with boating on Okanagan lake and a big backyard BBQ at our home. Friday was spent doing a fun on-site rehearsal at the venue, followed by a beautiful evening at the Kelowna Yacht Club with our immediate family and bridal party. We had a big charcuterie board for cocktail hour, paired with lawn games and a toonie bar. We had pizza ovens brought in and dinner featured hand-tossed Napoli pizza, salad, and a cheesecake bar – DREAMY. As we look back, however, it was all the little moments that made it the best day we could have hoped for: our handwritten vows, the speeches from our loved ones, lots of hugs, screaming the lyrics to your favourite songs with your friends, a certain best man completely splitting his pants on the dance floor (he got low), and – as one guest aptly put – “just the right amount of crying”. On June 25th, 2022 – we became Mr. & Mrs. Dyas. We cannot wait to see where our adventure takes us next. Footnote details about us: We live together in Kelowna, British Columbia. Lyndon is an Insurance Broker at a local, family-owned business. Sarah is a registered nurse working in the Cardiac ICU at the local hospital. We have a 2-year old Silver Labrador named Wheeler, as you will notice in our gallery – he was our ring boy. We love to embrace the simple things. Our favourite pastimes include hiking, camping, spending time on the lake, cruiser biking around the city, travel, and relaxing with loved ones.”
