“When the theme of the wedding is ‘romantasy’, the location for your couple’s engagement session needs to be grand and dramatic. Thankfully, downtown Salt Lake City has a street I affectionately refer to as ‘Church Row,’ which hosts prominent cathedrals with all the intricate architectural details worthy of a high court. From stained glass to the glowering gargoyles affixed at the steeples, this was the perfect scene to juxtapose the modern love story of Addi and Simon. Adorned with a perfectly tailored wardrobe that would suit any main character’s cozy fall aesthetic, these two were able to melt into one another while still popping against the dark stone. Her delicate ring offered a bespoke moment, as she favored a green marquise-cut sapphire over a more traditional diamond. A design choice that found home in a bed of ivy that sprayed across a stone wall. My favorite detail, however, came when the outfit change occurred. Addi emerged in a whisper of a dress, in a color matching her skin tone, with sheer ethereal fabric and a floral motif sprawled across. To ground her outfit, she stole her Fiancé’s jacket that he had worn for the first set. It was the perfect little detail that you would miss if you weren’t looking for it, but alluded to ” what’s mine is yours” in a very sweet and subtle way.”
