“Sol, After speaking with you for the first time, I told my family, “I know I’m going to marry him.” After our first date, January 3rd, 2019, you said, “Well, that was electric.” I agreed. Words couldn’t really capture how I felt. They say, when you know, you know. I knew. The first day I met you at the Library Bar in the Hudson Hotel, you changed my life forever. We have both said from day one that it felt like we always knew each other, and that we were always meant to find each other. I believe that with my whole heart. If my family could paint a picture of the perfect husband for me, it wouldn’t even be close to you on your worst day. Even Sol at his worst is pretty darn good. You’ve transcended all of my expectations, and you’ve given me more than I could have ever wished and prayed for. You have changed my definition of love and taken me with you to a sacred, happy place that makes every single day heaven. When you came into my life, I remember being overwhelmed with emotion and telling you, “You’ve turned my whole world upside down.” Now, I realize that what I meant was, “nothing made sense until you came into my life” Four years later, I am still falling in love with you all over again, and more and more, every day. Every night I spend with you is an award at the end of a long day, and every morning is a blessing. You fight for me and for us every single day. Thank you for your smile, your warmth, your positivity and excitement for life, your sturdiness and dependability, your heart of gold, your kind eyes, and your deep, unwavering love and commitment. You are the type of man who does whatever he can to make my life easier. To make me smile. You take care of me. Whether it’s taking Winston (our Siberian Husky) to daycare every single morning so I don’t have to stress before going to work, picking me up from work even when you’ve had a long day too, saying yes to every family event I have ever invited you to, massaging my feet even when I’m greedy and ask you to every day, putting all my luggage in your suitcase so mine won’t be overweight, when we’re running an hour late to an event and I’m still getting ready, you’ll say don’t worry we have time, so I can relax, you leave every weekend available so we can spend it together, you drop everything immediately to show up for me and your loved ones. You take care of me and you always put me first. I depend on you and I trust you with every ounce of my being. Thinking of my vows to you was easy. I just thought to myself, what does Sol give me every day? One of the most meaningful things you ever said to me is, “I thank God for you every day.” I vow to always thank God for you. I vow to respect you and value you. I vow to support your dreams. To always watch World War 1 movies and documentaries with you. I vow to add to your life, and to never subtract.
