“… After the couple found great careers and bought their first home, they knew the timing was right to take the next step into marriage. He proposed on December 26th, 2020 at Paint Mines in Colorado. Sam and Liset consider themselves soulmates and best friends. They have similar interests and hobbies but are always open to push each other to try new things. They plan to explore Jamaica and Europe this year to make new memories. December 26th, 2020 Sam and Liset went on a hike to the Paint Mines in El Paso County, Colorado. The couple had always mentioned wanting to go explore this site and felt like a great day to do this. Sam had mentioned to Liset that he wanted to take photos together. Liset knew she wanted to dress cute but functional since the couple enjoyed hiking quite often. The event did not feel out of the ordinary since they do this quite often with their polaroid camera. The couple arrived at the site and started to walk around and take photos with their polaroid. That was when Sam asked if Liset wanted a solo shot and she agreed. After the shot two girls asked if they wanted a picture together, he agreed and handed the camera to one of them and stood next to Liset. He turned to her and took her hand and said “Marry me?”. At that moment, the another girl took out her professional camera and started taking the perfect shots. Liset was shocked, and could not believe what was happening. She said YES! After a few seconds it was determined that Liset knew both girls and Sam had planned the perfect moment with her family photographer. Taryn the photographer that day also captured their wedding day. Such a special moment that both of them will never forget. Although Sam and Liset met officially in high school, they actually were in each other’s lives many times before this without knowing. Sam’s mom Rosa worked at a restaurant during Sam’s elementary school years in Fort Collins, Colorado. Liset’s family would go to this restaurant every Sunday after mass. Sam would sometimes go to work with his mom, while Liset was also there. The two only saw each other a few times but never spoke. It’s wild to think you saw your soulmate so many times and years before the universe decides it’s time to meet. After Sam and his family moved to Milliken, Colorado where Liset also lived, they rode the same school bus for years throughout middle school, but never spoke or introduced themselves. It wasn’t until years into dating that it was discovered they had actually been in each other’s lives for many years. Liset and Sam are very family orientated and wanted to make their special day very intimate. Multiple times throughout the day they made the effort to make memories with family. Liset had a first look with her grandparents, while Sam got ready with his brothers and groomsmen. Liset knew she wanted to have a romantic, timeless theme and stuck with a very neutral color pallet. She worked with her very talented florist to capture this. Details of the decor were a priority for Liset, and she worked with her Mom, Maria to get the perfect amount of detail throughout the evening. A few special details included, custom menus for each guest, custom cocktail toppers, violinist during cocktail hour, a few other things. The couple had the best vendors that helped accomplish the ambience and intimacy the couple was going for. Many guests still mention the couple’s special day on how fun it was. Many guests did not want the night to end. The night ended with a couple doing their last dance to Conversations in the Dark by John Legend surrounded by loved ones swaying to the music and allowing the couple to take in one last moment together.”
