“I launched House of Salem Events right before the holidays so when creating this styled shoot I knew I had to blend two of my favorite things, weddings and Christmas! My mind went to so many places when originally coming up with a concept for a holiday wedding photoshoot and I thought what better way to showcase this than by a vintage Christmas rehearsal dinner? Unless you’re planning to elope, the rehearsal dinner is the most intimate event during a wedding weekend. As the night before the wedding, it’s a time to celebrate with your inner circle and prepare for the big day ahead; much like Christmas Eve! In bringing my vision for this shoot to life, I aim to transport couples to an era of timeless elegance and festive charm. The color palette plays on traditional Christmas colors, complemented by brass and velvet elements to evoke a sense of refined nostalgia. The tablescape features antique inspired tableware, lace linens, and lush silk bows that bring an air of romance to our already intimate setting. Our brides look effortlessly channels the iconic style of the 1960s, combining elements that define the era with a modern and chic twist. The boatneck mini dress serves as a nod to elegant simplicity while her 60’s inspired veil with its delicate netting and intricate details pay homage to the iconic bridal fashion of the decade. Every element was sourced from amazing vendors in the Boise area and I truly couldn’t have pulled this off without each and every one of them.”
