“We met through mutual college friends at the University of Wyoming (go Pokes!), but remained acquaintances until a few years after graduation. We reconnected during a homecoming football weekend, reintroducing ourselves at our favorite college-town bar – and this time, we hit it off. After that night, we kept in touch over text, which quickly turned into regular conversations, despite the distance – I was living in Arizona, and Jordan was still in Wyoming. We eventually went on our first official date, and after a few more in-person visits, we found ourselves in a long-distance relationship. We took turns flying back and forth for months, getting to know each other more deeply, before I made the decision to move back home to Wyoming for good. We were so excited that the days of airport goodbyes were finally over. Our engagement weekend was unforgettable. For my birthday, Jordan planned a cabin ski trip with a group of our friends in Jackson, but it turned out to be more than just a birthday getaway. With the Tetons as our backdrop, he surprised me with a proposal surrounded by our closest friends and family. Getting a fiancé was the best birthday gift I could’ve imagined.”
