“Joao wanted to find a photographer to capture his proposal to Shandy during their Colorado trip. He had a special place in mind: Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. They’re from Nashville and didn’t want a typical proposal like everyone they know. They wanted something epic against the beautiful Colorado scenery. They started their hike early, around 5 am, in freezing 30-degree weather. The trail was covered in snow, making it tough, but they knew it was worth it for the sunrise. And boy, was it! The sunrise was absolutely stunning, the perfect backdrop for Joao to get down on one knee and ask Shandy to spend their lives together.”
