“I was very familiar with who Tim was—we went to a very small school. His dad was my 7th and 9th grade science teacher (one of my favorite teachers, and the only one who ever kicked me out of class), and my older brother played sports alongside him. We first truly crossed paths in high school, but wouldn’t reconnect until the summer of 2017 when I wished Tim a happy birthday on Facebook. That simple message sparked a connection, leading to our first date at the Western Idaho Fair and we’ve been together ever since. We love to travel and experience new places together. During a trip to the Outer Banks, North Carolina in May 2023, Tim proposed while watching the wild horses play in the sand and surf (it was a childhood dream of mine to see the Corolla wild horses so this was very special). We’re thrilled to be tying the knot at a stunning lakeside venue in September 2024 and begin our greatest adventure yet. When we first started talking the summer I moved back home, I definitely still thought of him as the kind and outgoing guy he was when we were younger. I can’t say that my impression of him has changed too much over the years; his best qualities that I love so much have just manifested in different ways. The guy who was in Natural Helpers and first to volunteer for a silly skit in highschool is now the first to lend a helping hand to those in need whether he knows them or not. The guy who was on varsity, I now know will be a compassionate and patient coach for our kids one day.”
