Pretty Blush Wedding Under Utah’s Snowy Peaks

“Natalie and Daniel were sweethearts at first text. In this digital world these lovebirds met on a dating app and were talking constantly. After their first date at the local coffee shop in San Francisco, they began meeting weekly for lunch at the Thai restaurant in between their respective offices. Slowly, every week turned into every day… and the rest is history. Both the bride and groom are extremely intellectual, considerate, and genuine people. With so much love between them, their friends and family were thrilled to take part in a destination wedding in Alta, UT. Natalie and Daniel have vacationed at Alta Lodge for years with friends and family. So, when choosing their wedding destination, these mountains hold so many memories for the family. In designing and planning this wedding, Irene wanted to be sure that everyone was taken care of and the couples story came through in every detail. Canyons Coffee being present for a personal craft drink experience. It nodded to the first date that Daniel states “I knew she was the one from that first cup of coffee.” Adding hint of their first date to the escort card display and welcome bag were special in celebrating their story. In creating the stationery for this wedding, Irene knew that their personalities called for a custom newspaper designed by Polite Paper. In working together, Irene + Co Events and Polite Paper captured their silliness and intellectual side while creating a one stop shop for all guest questions. With Natalie’s family being from Chicago, we designed it based off the Chicago Tribune. A guest of the wedding was also an editor of the New York Time’s Crossword and created a custom crossword puzzle just for this paper. Other items included the timeline, letters from the parents, fun facts about the couple, and best activities to do in the mountains. Waking up Saturday, June 10, 2023, Natalie states “I just feel so calm and excited to see the day unfold.” Natalie and mom Wendy completely trusted Irene + Co Events with the design and planning so many elements were a surprise to the couple. Wendy (mother of the bride) stated “It couldn’t have been any more perfect! She had great ideas, great attention to detail and was a pleasure to work with.” Floral design by Rachel at Jolley Florals were inspired by a soft mountain sunset. Embracing the natural wildflower vibe and elevating it to be as grad as the mountain top view. Using delicate roses, delphinium, and hydrangeas Rachel and the team created full lush romantic moments for the ceremony. As the view and florals couldn’t be more of a showstopper, Natalie + Daniel shared personal written vows unlike anything we have ever heard before. The witty, personal vows really showed us a glimpse of how strong their bond is in mind, spirit, and body. You didn’t need to know them for years to be tearing up. As you enter the dinner reception, at the entrance of the dining room you were greeted with a double floating cake expertly engineered by Cakes de Fleur. This design was a surprise for the couple designed by Irene + Co Events and Cakes de Fleur. It was a perfect moment that made guest jaw just drop. Continuing in the evening, Alta lodge served a 5-star meal for guest and kept the craft cocktails and fine wine coming as the dance floor was opened. DJ Myra from Dimond Empire Band was right on with every moment of the evening. Reading the room perfectly, every guest from 5- 85 had a blast. The weekend ended on Sunday with a farewell brunch on the patio overlooking the snowcap mountains. A fellow moose even visited for a quick hello. It was a stunning weekend out of a dream.”
