“When Rielle and I began planning her engagement session she told me that her dream photos would be in a field of flowers on a mountain top at golden hour. We began brainstorming locations but kept crossing options off our list. A number of the places we hoped for weren’t accessible with our vehicles or out of season. The digging for the perfect location did not stop though. We were on the lookout for a unique environment that truly displayed British Columbia’s mountain views. Rielle and Davin are from Alberta and they wanted to have these views photographed to remember this chapter of their life of being engaged and living in the Vancouver area. One day Rielle messaged me, “I found it, the perfect location.” And a few short weeks later we made the trip to Manning park (a 3 hour dedicated drive)! We drove all the way up to the Cascade Lookout and we were all just blown away with the beauty that surrounded us. The session was an absolute blast. There were barely any others at the top and we played some tunes and captured photos as the sun went down. And even though the season of flowers was starting to end we found a perfect little patch! This session was the perfect reminder to go for that dream location for your engagement photos! Take the extra few hours to drive, you’ll remember it and it’ll be so worth it!”
