“… Our vision was to incorporate cheerful and vibrant colors into the decor and styling to capture the essence of the season. We incorporating bright pastels in the color palette included soft pinks, buttery yellows, baby blues, meadow greens all of which were used in the floral arrangements, table settings and mismatched tea sets, and desserts. The shoot took place in Honey Studio, a loft photography studio above The Hive Venue, with a beautiful vintage table set up for the tea party from Linden House Tablescapes. The table was adorned with dainty floral centerpieces featuring poppies, daisies, and ranunculus on a bed of mossy greens. The true statement piece of this shoot was the floating floral installation that Historia Florals engineered. The bride’s free form style bouquet carried over the same whimsy and romance and was finished with a lavender ribbon from Honey Silk Co. The florals added so much life to the overall aesthetic. The table setting featured delicate vintage plates and coordinating tea cups, silver flatware, and soft pink linen napkins. Each place setting was topped with a peach tart from Paisley Cakes and several French macarons from Smith Baking Co. These desserts were the highlight of the party, with a variety of bright pastel-colored macarons, tarts, a miniature peach cobbler dessert for each place setting, and a beautiful lemon blueberry cake adorned with tiny chamomile flowers displayed on a vintage glass dessert stand. The bride-to-be and her best friends sipped on tea and indulged in the delicious treats while enjoying the beautiful spring sunshine leaking in from the windows. Our invitation suite was provided by Brin Stationery and featured the bright tones of spring florals, and subtle bee accents to showcase the venue at which this gathering would take place. The bride was dressed in a elegant custom gown designed by Caitlin Lewis of Tulips and Tulle. The gown had just the smallest hint of minty blue, a stunning off the shoulder neckline, and a full flowing skirt, which complemented the soft and romantic and whimsical atmosphere of the shoot. Her hair was styled in a low bun with loose curls, and she wore delicate amethyst earrings and a matching necklace from Molinelli’s Jeweler to complete the look. Randi Bennet of RB Artistry finished off the look with a soft, fresh, and peachy pink makeup look that was so beautiful. The Bride was surrounded by her closest friends, all dressed in pastel toned dresses from Lettie Boutique. Each of our models was married over this past year at The Hive Venue, so though they were meeting for the first time, it was fun to hear them swap stories of each of their recent weddings and the happy moments that took place for each of them at The Hive. This charming bridal tea party was so much fun to dream up and watch come to life. It captured the joy and beauty of the Spring Season and gave us such fun inspiration of a unique way to spend very intentional time with your best girls before the chaos of a wedding day commences.”
