“… You can’t get more New Mexico true than The Desert Compass, located in Old Town Albuquerque. You truly feel so connected to the Southwest at this venue. But it also comes with a modern touch. Not only can The Desert Compass act as your wedding venue, but it can also be your mini moon destination! Traditionally, when I think of the Southwest, I think of color. Earth tones, terra-cotta, and the gorgeous adobe buildings you will find all throughout the Southwest. So for this styled shoot I wanted to bring the elegance of white florals along with a silk slip dress. No question the silk slip is going to be huge in 2023/2024 and you can see why! The way a slip dress falls on a brides body is such a beautiful thing. To keep that New Mexico flair going, I added gorgeous Aztec earrings provided by Klay&Co, who is locally owned and operated! Along with the elegant touches I wanted some fun! That’s where the mini bar & lounge area came in! I also incorporated a super fun backdrop and everything tied together beautifully.
