“Sean and I’s love story began in Washington, D.C. in 2013, on what we like to call ‘vintage Hinge’, where fate delivered us to each other through a daily email (this was before the app launched!). Our first date, destined for just a brunch, transformed into a 13-hour marathon of laughter, conversations, shared bottles of wine, and finally, dinner. From that moment, we knew we had stumbled upon something special. The time that followed saw us triumph over years of long-distance, make incredible memories over global adventures that spanned continents, build our careers and a life together in the great city of New York City, adopt our sweet dachshund Roman, and navigate the complexities of a global pandemic (of which we spent a month living out West). Our shared passions — travel, comedy shows, scuba diving, hiking, trivia, and the unbridled joy of a good old-fashioned 90’s power hour — have been the melody to our dance through life. Somewhere along the way, we fell head over heels for the mountains and endless skies of the American West. So as fate would have it, 10 years into our journey, standing at 10,000 feet at the most beautiful spot in Telluride, we embarked on our greatest adventure yet in the place where our hearts feel most at home. Our design inspiration was simple: to accentuate the natural beauty of Telluride and remain authentic to the locale. We wanted our floral arrangements and color palette to be subtle and reminiscent of our surroundings, complementing the natural earth tones and textures found in Colorado in autumn. We also opted to keep the rustic elements of Allred’s Restaurant such as the antler chandeliers, chairs and wooden tables, uncovered – we felt that these design touches are what give the venue its quintessential western feel and it was important to us to preserve that look and feel.”
