Meaningful Idaho Engagements with a Western Flair

“Makinzie and Greg both grew up in the American West, carrying with them a lifelong appreciation for its rugged beauty and quiet expanses. When the conversation about marriage first began, Makinzie described her ideal proposal: a private moment in the mountains, surrounded only by the landscape that felt like home. Greg, an experienced outdoorsman, brought that vision to life during Makinzie’s first elk hunt deep in the Idaho backcountry. At 6,000 feet, with bull elk calling across the ridgelines and the forest setting around them, he knelt and asked her to marry him. The gesture left Makinzie completely surprised. She hadn’t imagined Greg would remember every detail of the setting she once described, let alone choose such a meaningful and unforgettable experience. The remote mountain setting reflected everything they love about the West: wide-open country, spiritual quiet, and a sense of place that runs deeper than words. It offered the perfect backdrop for an intimate moment shared entirely between them – a beginning as authentic and timeless as the landscape itself. The engagement shoot was styled with an authentic western romance theme, a modern twist, and embellished with thoughtful details and treasured heirlooms. Their engagement shoot was at the base of the mountain where the proposal took place! Each detail of the shoot was intentional and effortlessly authentic! I wanted to capture the couple’s beauty while still having a clean, natural look.”
