Alberta wedding photographer, Molly D Photography came up with the inspiration for this greenhouse bridal styled shoot on a whim. This spontaneous styled shoot came together in just one day! This just goes to show that inspiration can be drawn from the ordinary and still result in something beautiful!
“After spending an evening at a local greenhouse this spring picking out some flowers and herbs for the planters at my house I couldn’t stop thinking about shooting in a similar location. Springtime in Alberta is quite unpredictable, there can be a blizzard one day and you’re sitting out in the sun the next day, so an indoors shoot is perfect this time of year. Plus, the colors and smells of a greenhouse are instant mood boosters, you can’t help but smile as you step inside and I wanted to capture that sensation. That evening when I got home I sent Nicole (Flowers by Nicole) a message to see if she would be interested in a styled shoot, next thing I knew we were brainstorming on the phone and less than 24 hours later our vision came to life! Nicole makes things happen and is thought of very highly in the industry, and the fact that she pulled together such a strong group of local vendors in such a short time period is a true testament to that. The Plant Ranch was the perfect backdrop for our beautiful model, Tory VanderBaaren, to showcase a gown created by designer Michelle of Enchanted Ever After with makeup done by Lexie Dyann Artistry and of course Nicole of Flowers by Nicole created a stunning bouquet and hair piece. I am so grateful for this talented crew who turned my dream into a reality overnight!”
