Lovely City Wedding Inspo with Lemon Chiffon Colored Flowers

“This editorial was inspired by a couple looking to celebrate their love in an intimate, luxurious and historic setting. Denver is home to many 19th and 20th century neoclassical structures and this shoot was meant to inspire couples looking to get married in Colorado, but who want to take advantage of its beautiful urban elements rather than heading straight to the mountains. Everything in the editorial was to feel aspirational but also accessible, and everything in it can be recreated by a real couple. We even created a celebratory recessional, complete with biodegradable rice paper confetti and vendor friends and partners as ‘guests’. Since the editorial featured a real LGBTQ+ couple, the design was conceptualized around what they might like — sculptural, masculine and unique floral designs along with monochromatic tabletop elements punctuated by pops of black. We opted for an enhanced floral boutonniere along one groom’s lapel, and a traditional boutonniere for our second groom. The ceremony altar was designed to mimic and highlight the columns present in the venue, with the addition of luxe and organic spring floral arrangements. The table setting was meant to be intimate and elevated, so the meal was set around one long banquet table, draped with velvet bone-colored linens in a king’s drape. All of the tabletop elements were designed to play into one cohesive and somewhat monochromatic scheme, so that the focus could remain on the architectural elements and the floral design. We also included a vintage Jaguar given that the inspiration couple might have an affection for vintage and luxury. And lastly, we couldn’t help but to include their pup Tucker, in ‘person’ as well as on the cuff links. The images were shot on digital cameras as well as medium format and 35mm film cameras.”
