“Rooted in playing in nature and connecting with their friends and family, Carmen and Cale felt it was immensely important to get married in the Okanagan, which has always been a sanctuary for them. From the moment they met, everything has felt organic. They wanted that to translate through their wedding day, with an easygoing feel and flow to their timeline. They didn’t want anything to feel too formal, but wanted to create space at Linden Gardens to play in nature with the people that they love. Having always felt so supported by their friends and family, Carmen and Cale wanted to make the day feel as intimate as possible while still extending that intimacy and appreciation to their people – as this was a celebration of them too. Carmen and Cale wanted to select vendors that they knew personally to help them feel comfortable and at ease. Great wine and delicious food have always been a core staple for their relationship, and when selecting who would cater the wedding, Waterfront was the clear choice. Carmen worked at Waterfront Wines and established a sweet bond with the owner and chef, Mark Filatow, as well as with the rest of the Waterfront team. The dinner was served family style and was nothing short of spectacular. The whole day was full of immense love, laughter, so much joy, excitement, and everyone felt completely connected. A wedding day grounded in love, togetherness, and, of course, marrying the love of their life.”
