“In 2019, a Fort Worth cowboy took a Dallas city girl out for dinner. Two years and a global pandemic later, Carlton Stewart proposed to Madeleine Hall at her family’s vacation home, the Rio Blanco Ranch, in Pagosa Springs. In July 2022, Madeleine and Carlton returned for their wedding day. The ceremony was intimate, set in a small clearing surrounded by towering Aspen trees. After they said, “I do,” family and friends walked to an open-air cocktail hour, complete with Rio Blanco Ranchwaters. A brass band led the guests in procession to a sailcloth tent in the middle of an open field, nestled at the foot of the expansive San Juan Mountains. As the newlyweds cut their wildflower-pressed wedding cake, the “golden hour” décor matched the colors of the setting sun. The band played for hours, and the dance floor was electric. At the end of the night, the newlyweds retired to their wedding suite, a personalized glamping tent under the stars.”
