Love Story
“We met in August of 2010, as we both volunteered to help the Freshman move into their dorms at University of Hawaii and then proceeded to have a class together that fall. We finally started dating after tailgating at a UH football game together on 10/17/10. We’ve been long distance twice in our relationship, first when I studied abroad in Paris in 2012 for 6 months and again when he did a research cruise to Antarctica in 2017 for 3 months. We started living together in 2013 in Hawaii, moved together to Los Angeles in 2017, and got our dog together in 2018. And finally, Danny proposed in January of 2021 on a trip to New Mexico during a hike through Galisteo Basin.”
