“Mary and Jeff’s Lake Tahoe engagement photoshoot was so dang cute. Moody skies? Check. A golden sunset peeking through the clouds? Check. Their golden retriever with the ultimate case of the zoomies? Big check. We started off with the perfect golden glow, the crisp Tahoe air making everything feel extra cozy. Their pup, Summit, was immediately the star of the show, sprinting across the grass and standing on the rocks like he was training for a doggy Olympics. Mary and Jeff couldn’t stop laughing as he practically photobombed every other shot. Honestly, I think he knew this was a big day for his humans and wanted to be fully involved. Ugh, he’s so so so cute!! As the sun started dipping lower, we did a quick outfit change (because who doesn’t love a little variety?), and these two brought all the romantic, effortless energy. We climbed around on the lakeside rocks, soaked in the insane views, and just let the moment be them—goofy, playful, and so, so in love. The sky was cloudy but the cool blue tones are just as romantic as the golden ones. And their love was still shining so bright. By the time we wrapped up, we were all a little chilly but so stoked about how magical the evening had been. Mary and Jeff? Absolute naturals in front of the camera. Summit? MVP of the whole shoot. Lake Tahoe engagement photoshoots? An absolute must. I can’t believe I get to live here and capture love in such a beautiful place. Pinch me. My husband (Peter Paul Films) had the honor of capturing their engagement on film and I have to share it here as well. This day was just all around magic.
