Intimate Blush and Terracotta Nuptials in Park City

“Authenticity. That was our ultimate goal when planning our wedding day. Jon and I found a cabin in the mountains of Park City, with a breathtaking balcony and panoramic views. The property was a family cabin, and they graciously allowed us to have our intimate wedding there. We decided to limit our guest list to our immediate family and a few close friends. We spent the days leading up to the wedding moving furniture, arranging candles and decor, steaming linens and setting tables with our friends and family. It was so beautiful to see the wedding come together, knowing that each one of our loved ones was part of it. It was a brisk day in June, the late spring air was crisp and refreshing. We poured glasses of champagne to toast our guests before the ceremony. June Brothers Band played acoustic covers of mountain folk songs (All Your’n!) and guests stayed warm under heaters and blankets. The ceremony was emotional and personal. We shared prayers for Jon’s dad who recently passed away. We exchanged vows we wrote for each other, with the sun glistening over the snowcap mountains behind us. After the ceremony, we enjoyed Jon and I’s favorites, spicy margaritas, an array of homemade salsas and guacamole, a gourmet taco bar, and churros and chocolate. We changed into western attire and cowboy hats, and danced the night away to our favorite country songs under twinkling lights. I couldn’t dream of a more perfect day to marry my best friend. Our advice to future brides and grooms – prioritize planning a wedding day that is authentic to you and your partner. For starters, only invite the guests who you truly want to be there. Intimate celebrations can be even more enjoyable and entertaining than a large gathering. A non-traditional venue can still be just as elegant and magnificent. Choose the colors and decor that feel like you, not just what is in season or in style. Create your own wedding traditions and set your own rules. At the end of of our wedding, my husband and I genuinely had no regrets, because we celebrated our marriage how we truly wanted to. It was the happiest and best day of our lives. Every detail was so authentically us.”
