“Alex and I had originally planned for our micro wedding to be at a beautiful estate in one of our favorite beach towns in California, however plans fell through when the owner let us know two months before our wedding day that they were canceling all reservations due to water damage on the property. Although it was initially heartbreaking, the whole process of getting to replan our wedding and lean on our loved ones for support was truly amazing and made us feel so loved. Alex and I decided to keep our wedding date and plan to get married in Arizona where I have lots of amazing vendor friends (I am a wedding photographer myself, so I have made lots of amazing connections through the years!). We tried to keep our expectations very loose and remind ourselves of what was most important to us- to have an intimate setting, in a place we loved, surrounded by the people we love. I was lucky enough to find an Airbnb in Scottsdale, Arizona on a horse property surrounded by open desert, that was kind enough to let us host our wedding on such short notice. With the help from all of our friends, family, and vendors it was everything we could have wanted and more!”
