High School Lovers’ Tented Wyoming Wedding

“In the words of our maid of honor, our love story is one for the ages. Blake and I first met during our freshman year of high school. He was the new kid to our small school and for some odd reason we just clicked. Despite never dating and unanimously clinging to our ‘platonic’ friendship when asked if we ever would, we supported each other through every heartbreak, success, passing, and milestone. Blake was my first call, my Thursday morning coffee date, my biggest supporter as our childhood came to an end. He was truly my best friend. After graduation, Blake called me almost every week just to catch up. He would take me to breakfast or coffee when visiting home from college. Regardless of the effort we had put into our friendship over the years, our relationship was straining as we continued college. We had separate romantic relationships and we were individually thriving in school involvements. Our partners didn’t understand our friendship and often disapproved of us hanging out. I truly felt like our friendship would have ended had my brother not stepped in. At the time, my brother was living in Colorado and Blake was spending the night at his place while I was visiting. With the help of liquid courage and a long night of talking, Blake told me I was his ‘end game’, that he loved me and wanted to marry me. I was in shock and quite frankly angry that Blake would ruin our friendship over a night of drinking. To prove that this was not just a spur of the moment thought, Blake phoned a lifeline to defend his prophetic call to love. The man who would later be one of our best men in our wedding, confirmed Blake’s apparent long standing love for me and the rest was history. We started dating a month later, finished college the following semester 800 miles away, and married in the most beautiful place in the world almost three years after our night in Colorado. Blake is still my truest friend, my every morning coffee date, and the person I love the most in this world.”
