Happily Ever After Overcomes Hurricane Ian

December 29, 2022 BY: Bailey

“October 22nd, 2022 was supposed to be the day where we were getting married in Arcadia, Florida. I had been planning our wedding for over 13 months and on October 2nd we were informed our wedding venue was destroyed and they could no longer host our wedding anymore due to Hurricane Ian. This news was beyond devastating I stayed up the next few nights crying because every ounce of my heart went into planning this perfect day I have dreamt of my whole life. I was heart broken and trying to brainstorm ideas how to let all my guest know who have planned to travel states away that my venue was gone. By the help of my amazing family, the Lechugas and the Bergels, we put together a wedding in just under two weeks in Breckenridge, Colorado. My day was small and intimate. I never would had dreamt of a small elopement wedding but I don’t have any regrets. I have my amazing husband and perfect photos/memories to forever cherish. Justin and I learned our love for each other is stronger than the storm. No matter what unimaginable scenarios life throws at us we will be okay if we face them together.”
