“Olivia and Jonny were introduced on a blind date. They went on one date and hit it off…but Olivia had plans to move away in the upcoming weeks. Although they found connection in each other’s presence, plans are plans; Olivia left the country for two years to serve a religious mission. With miles of distance in between them they fell out of touch even though they admittedly thought about each other from time to time. When she moved back to Utah, Jonny asked her out on a date. It was as if they hadn’t missed a beat. They quickly fell in love. Grateful for their new love they were dumbfounded for how they would ever repay those who set them up…they decided the only way they could ever thank them was to simply “make this thing happen.” Jonny secretly bought a ring and shortly after he surprised Olivia by proposing on a chilly fall morning in Sun Valley. Although they didn’t know each other in their youth they both grew up skiing at Snowbasin Resort; a nostalgic destination holding fond memories of time spent on the mountain with loved ones. It was only fitting for them to choose Snowbasin as the destination to share their newfound love! They were married in the Provo Temple in the afternoon of January 7th, 2023 and the celebration dinner was held that same night in Earl’s Lodge at Snowbasin Resort.”
