Gorgeous Mountaintop Wedding in Aspen

December 12, 2023 BY: Bailey

“Little did Lindsey & Patrick know, their love story began at Prairie Elementary in Kansas City. The two quickly became best friends in the 6th grade and continued to build on that friendship. Fast-forward to Junior Year of High School, they dated for the first time and were each other’s first love. However, college had different plans for them. Linds went off to Tuscaloosa to become a part of the Tide, while Pat spread his wings and became a Jayhawk. Now it may seem that their story ended there, but Patrick had different plans in mind. While Lindsey was wearing her Cowgirl Boots in Nashville, Pat was finding any way he could to see his high school sweetheart – all the way from Colorado. Pat managed to weasel his way back into Lindsey’s heart, and the two soon began dating long distance in August of 2019. A blessing in disguise happened when COVID allowed for remote work and Lindsey acquired the soon-to-be other love of Pat’s life, Phoebe (their Frenchie). Soon after they took their love story to Denver, Colorado. On November 27th, 2021 – Pat made the easiest decision of his life, asking for Lindsey’s hand in marriage at the same place they first met 15+ years ago at Prairie Elementary. Of course, she said yes! Following the engagement, Pat surprised Lindsey with a party that included their families and closest friends from near & far. The proposal was a dream come true for the happy couple. Style was inspired by the natural colors of the mountains. The couple wanted to highlight the natural beauty of Aspen Mountain. Mixing greens, blues, whites, light pinks, and dark green florals/bridesmaid dresses. The couple loves skiing together and Lindsey’s parents live in Aspen part time-making it an all time favorite for the whole family! We utilized chinoiserie and magnolia leaves in the plan. Lindsey went to the university of Alabama and always admired the magnolias in the south. We wanted to create a unique design as well as timeless. The team Aimee Monihan lead was a major creative partner in this gorgeous wedding. Lindsey’s mom is also wildly creative and used to own a floral company-which helped Lindsey bring her vision to life. There is truly nothing more beautiful than the mountains in the snow but we were able to blend spring and winter together. Making it the best day ever! Blue bird day, love, and magic!”
