“We really wanted to create a shoot that featured bold colours and even bolder florals. We loved using draping to create an eye-catching centrepiece for the ceremony, paired with urns of yellow florals and fruit. To add visual interest, our florist, Blossom & Vine Co., strung up both lilies and longan fruit in chains. Set to the backdrop of a beautiful West Vancouver beach and the peaceful ocean, we envision this setup at the Landing at the Beach House Restaurant would be perfect for a micro-wedding of 30 to 75 guests. We featured two brides who both wore elegant Made with Love dresses from Everly Bridal. They were the perfect addition to a summer wedding by the beach. Paired with a simple veil, floral-inspired earrings, and fun, vibrant nails! We also loved using a single floral variety for each smaller bridal bouquet — each was a component of the much larger display! The tablescape was composed of linens matching the chartreuse of the ceremony space, as well as repurposing the florals and fruit. We paired the tableware with menus that were vibrant and whimsical, nodding to the amazing food and drink that were to come. We included two signature cocktails for this microwedding — a Blood Orange Spritz and a Passion Fruit Sour, the perfect drinks for guests at cocktail hour! We also included canapes and a charcuterie board that would pair perfectly with the drinks. After dinner inside, we also imagined transforming the patio space into a lounge or even a little picnic area that would allow guests to mingle informally. To end the night, we included a three-tier, hand-painted cake with lemons, sitting on top of an arched table.”
