“For the wedding design, Alice and Tommy were drawn to a romantic, classic aesthetic that felt in sync with their venue, Aspen Meadows Resort. Even in mid-fall, the campus is lush, so they imagined something reminiscent of a rose garden, with soft peaches and deep reds that echoed the mountains glowing behind them. For dinner, they wanted an atmosphere that felt cozy and intimate, which is why candles filled the tables instead of flowers. Their florals were placed around the room and framed the DJ booth, creating a warm and inviting glow throughout the space. Soft draping and a cluster of disco balls added just the right amount of sparkle and turned the reception into an unforgettable dance-til-dawn party. One of the most meaningful elements of their day was inviting couples from their life to serve as their unofficial wedding party. This idea came from a Brazilian tradition of wedding godparents, people who bless and support the marriage journey. Each couple represents a relationship that has shaped and strengthened their own. Instead of individual speeches about the bride or the groom, each pair spoke about Alice and Tommy together, which created a beautiful sense of unity. Their ceremony was officiated by close friends and was filled with intention, tenderness, and no shortage of tears. One of their sweetest memories came right after the recessional when Milo sprinted right into their arms. Alice’s bouquet also held deep meaning for her, mixing English roses and Brazilian orchids to honor her heritage and including a charm of her grandmother on her own wedding day more than sixty-three years ago. They also created a beautiful memorial display featuring wedding photos of grandparents, parents, and relatives whose love stories helped shape who they are. Their first look atop Aspen Mountain remains one of their most cherished memories. The gondola ride offered a rare moment of stillness for both Alice and Tommy, giving them the chance to really see each other and absorb the meaning of the day before stepping into the celebration. Alice wore a satin and lace Watters gown that combined modern style with vintage romance and reflected the overall aesthetic of the wedding perfectly. They ended the night exactly as they hoped they would—dancing their hearts out, surrounded by their favorite people all gathered in one place. For Alice and Tommy, the celebration felt like the truest expression of who they are: intentional, joyful, loving, and held by a beautiful community. Their wedding honored not only their relationship, but the many love stories that brought them to this moment.”
