“Taylor and Stephen have both spent much of their lives on the lakes of Alexandria; located in North Western Minnesota. 4th of July weekend, 2018, was no different. The two were enjoying holiday festivities on the boat with family and friends near the beach of Lake Le Homme Dieu; little did they know, fate was upon them! With boats anchored next to each other, Stephen hopped in the water and approached Taylor and her family to introduce himself. This should come to no surprise for anyone who knows Stephen; an extrovert through and through! He captivated them with his positive energy, undoubtable courage, and of course complimentary beer gesture (for the parents only). The rest is history.”
“The two of us had planned to go out to dinner for my birthday at a new restaurant I had been dying to try in downtown Wayzata, MN. When the day came, I ended up working late, it was raining, I didn’t love my outfit, and to be honest just wasn’t in the mood for my birthday dinner at all! It rained all the way there, but cleared up miraculously upon arriving. The restaurant noted there would be about a 10 min wait for our table, so Stephen asked me if I wanted to go down to the docks by the water (Lake Minnetonka) to take a photo. Despite not liking my outfit, he knows I can never pass up a photo opportunity! haha. When we got to the end of the docks he grabbed my hands and started telling me how much I mean to him. He is a sappy guy by nature, so I really didn’t think anything of it; that is, until is lip started to tremble! When he got down on one knee, all I could do was cry – we’re still unsure if I officially said “YES” or not?! I had never been more surprised or happy in my entire life! There were photographers there capturing the moment, and inside, all of our closest friends and family there to celebrate us! A rather mundane day, turned perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more!”
