“When I go about creating styled shoots for myself and my collaborating vendors in the off season, my end goal is to design something that that will shake things up a bit and have us stepping out of the traditional wedding comfort zone. I also love that one of the biggest wedding trends for 2023 is bold pops of color. So I meshed those two ideas together and came up with a hot pink city elopement. We wanted the bride and groom to stray away from the white dress and black suit. We chose retro designs, bold colors, and over-the-top features. When it came to selecting the location, we wanted them and their hot pink outfits to really pop in front of the concrete jungle that is Downtown Vancouver. So we chose one of the best locations that showcases the downtown towers of the city. A fun little fact: The bride’s name is Rose, so we thought it would be a fun touch to have a play on words with her wine ‘Yes Way Rosé.'”
