Fresh Green and White Wedding Inspiration in Arizona

“This styled shoot features a newlywed couple stepping into their next chapter together. With the design reflecting not only the wedding day, but the love story that built it. The head table had a long runner that mimicked book pages, adorned with decor pieces that blended modern elegance with rustic elements to create a vintage, romantic feel. The background drapery was illuminated with projections of the couple’s personal home videos. Moments from their journey leading up to their wedding day, from candid dates to meaningful milestones, such as trips taken together. The intimate clips add a deeply personal and cinematic feel that highlights how couples can incorporate their unique story into timeless wedding visuals. The couple has been together for about two years. It was a real-life meet-cute, straight out of a movie. Izabelle was a server at a breakfast restaurant. Isaac and his friends would come almost every day. Izabelle would always tell her best friend that she worked with that he was cute, but never had the courage to ask him. That’s when her best friend slid a napkin with Izabelle’s number to him, and from that day on, they have been together. The design was meant to be eco-friendly, bringing the classic green trend to a whole new level. All books, decor pieces, and certain draping moments were sourced from second-hand locations and properly cleaned to avoid that ‘thrift store’ smell. Lots of thrift stores are filled with fabric that goes with the current drapery trends that have been popularized by textile artists such as Mia Sylvia Herrod. We also love the fruit and floral trend, adding pieces that were accessible for any curious guests to eat right then and there. We leaned into the fruit look by not only placing the fruit in large floral pieces, but also placing bud vases in fruit bowls, around the table, and on top of tableware. We also wanted to go away from a normal floral bouquet so what we did was include a ‘bookquet’ to tie into the storytelling vibe. The book that the bride was holding as her floral bouquet was titled Love Me Forever’ which made it even more special and perfect for her. This shoot also played a factor in traditions. One idea was creating new traditions that cater to the couple’s future plans, including cake cutting with a wine glass rather than the traditional serving utensils. With the rise of private gender reveals that use a similar concept, this brings a foreshadowing of what the couple may want to write in the future chapters. We approached the floral design as more of a partnership. Working with Bre Schindler, from PJ’s floristry, we gave her the mood board, flowers that we liked, and put our full trust in her choosing flowers that were in season to fit our vibe. We used key phrases such as ‘heavy on green’ and ‘whimsical with the fruit elements’. She chose an array of your classic wedding day flowers, such as white roses, mums, carnations, and hydrangeas. To add whimsy besides fruit, she went with queen anne’s lace, scabiosa pods, and white veronicas. Finally, to really tie in the fruit elements, she added kale flowers and rosemary to add dimension and fragrance to the overall look. This styled shoot was a collaborative piece from all vendors. Every vendor was not only able to showcase their talent, but also elevate our vision for this styled shoot. It was kismet that our hearts leaned into green as the pop of color, as the planners and lead photographer are green in this industry. We could feel a sense of community supporting us as we showcase our talents and passion in telling love stories.”
