Fresh and Vibrant Springtime Wedding Inspiration

April 23, 2024 BY: Amy

“We played with soft, whimsy textures and bold colour contrast in this styled shoot inspiration to highlight an edgy and modern non-traditional wedding vibe. Our bride and groom are wearing bespoke outfits locally designed by SM Bespoke in Edmonton, Alberta. I love that the bride’s look is made out of an ivory jacquard print that makes you lean in and want to feel it. The groom’s tuxedo is made from delicate silk and reflect this real couple’s personal style and tastes. In their departure photos, the bride throws on her (also) bespoke chartreus wool jacket which is the colour reference for this shoot. Her sharp updo and makeup are by the glam team at The Makeup Parlour. We had a floral designer (Florals by Anita) and 2 additional industry florists (Therese Lopez Florals, Petals for your Thoughts) involved that promote industry collaboration but also highlight a cohesive design in the overhead installations, staggered height tablescape, surrounding arrangements, cake details, and floral wearables in the ear cuffs for the bride and statement shoulder pad on the groom. The floral choices incorporate various textures to create dimension and a sense of whimsy, but also delivering in impact with the pops of hot pink blooms dancing around. Pairing chartreuse and Barbie pinks with materials of stone, metal, satin, and chiffon fabrics created an arena of visual interest that spoke of coordinated trends and juxtaposition. The staggered heights of the table was cohesively tied together by design like a pair of siblings fighting for attention, yet is charming when looked at alone. The wedding planner/designer (Our Jonrah Events) really want to bring vibrancy to the eyes with the layered movement of chiffon in ivory, oatmeal and a touch of nougat. Even the dessert had to be curated and on theme – a showcase of pandan choux and strawberry vanilla dessert cups greeted guests before the ceremony by Hirondelle Bakery. The curvilinear designed dessert shelf was created by Hartree Designs who also laser cut the table numbers onto the ceramic vase – marrying aesthetic with functionality. We highlighted a sleek bar from Special Event Rentals to compliment the venue’s style lines and had a vinyl DJ setup by Market Sound as this wedding is all about the cool and edgy vibes. We can’t forget the Hugo Spritz and Watermelon Margarita by Perfect Pour Bartending. Cheers! Celebrated and styled at LAST Modern Event Venue, they are a brand new in Edmonton and is geographically distinguished by a refined canvas, chic design, with black accents that is not often seen. The cry for modern and chic has finally been heard. Floating track lighting and chandeliers provide glamourous illumination while making a statement in an otherwise blank slate. This transformation shows how a creative and professional vendor team can elevate a venue’s potential to new heights when innovative ideas come together.”
