Fresh and Colorful Wedding in BC

“Our wedding day was everything we could have wanted and more! I wanted to encapsulate the timeless wedding feel keeping it colourful and fresh. It was so important to Joel and I to have personal touches that made each guest feel special, whether that was through our hand-written notes at everyone’s place-settings or our “you’re our best buds” flower wall that we made in place of a seating chart. From the moment I got engaged and saw my emerald ring, I knew I had to have a colourful wedding. The main way I did this was through choosing different coloured dresses for each of my bridesmaids, which was one of my favourite touches. We wanted to incorporate a whimsical feeling into our wedding day while capturing a vintage vibe through the bridesmaids scarves and shooting the ceremony on super 8. We harnessed a unique feeling at our wedding through our individually thrifted plates, bows tied on each wine-glass and flowers placed in every nook and cranny. We may have been in Chilliwack British Columbia amongst the mountains, but our wedding venue transported you to what felt like a far away fairy garden. We truly couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect day, the whole day felt like a big party with the people we love most.”
