“Photography gifts me the opportunity to capture many different landscapes across Canada every year. I’m originally from Winnipeg, and I moved to Alberta fifteen years ago to pursue my passion for all things Rocky Mountain. Frequent road trips to British Columbia and Manitoba are common for me and along the drive from Alberta to BC, one of my favourite things is admiring the wildflowers alongside of the road that frame the mountains and number 1 highway. This dreamy wildflower meadow and whimsical landscape has been imprinted on my mind for many summers when I finally purchased a one-of-a-kind French vintage lace gown from “We are Reclamation”. This Victoria based, global fashion brand creates dresses for lovers of magic and romance around the world and this purchase finally inspired me to create a styled editorial in the mountains featuring French inspired country florals that was heavily influenced by the Rocky Mountain wildflowers and landscape. The Vintage cream lace that flows so beautifully on our gorgeous model Naomi, and acts as a perfect foreground to the picturesque mountains. I teamed up with a lovely group pf Alberta and BC vendors to create and inspire others to elope in the mountains and feel encouraged by the Rocky Mountain landscape to share their love story. Blu Boho, a sustainable Canadian jewelry company also lend us some beautiful jewels to further push the amazing list of Canadian vendors on this beautiful project. This styled photoshoot features French country florals, created by Christi at Posy Floral, inspired by the Rocky Mountain Wildflowers, and a whimsical wedding gown by We are Reclamation, the perfect landscape for any mountain elopement.”
