Festive Indian Wedding Weekend at Cheyenne Mountain Resort

“Shreya and Rahul began their wedding weekend at Cheyenne Mountain Resort with their Mehndi Event, catered by Urban Tandoor. Their menu offerings began with soups and salad, including Moong Dal Sprout Salad and Tomato Shorba. Appetizers for Shreya and Rahul’s Mehndi included Stuffed Paneer Tikka (with mozzarella and vegetable filling), Kurkuri Bhindi Chaat (crispy okra, amchoor powder, chutney, raita, mango), Malai Broccoli, and Potli Dal Samosa. Entrees served to guests included Saam Savera, Bhaingan Bharta, Dal Panchmel, Makki di Roti, and Sarson ka Saag. Sides included Assorted Bread, Simple Pulao, and Beetroot Raita. Desserts included Gulab Jamun, Mango Phirni, and Paan. Beverages included Badam Milk, Jaljeera, and Sharbat (selection for guests included pineapple, pomegranate, amla, rose, and sattu). A complete Mehndi station for guests as well as games such as bingo and musical chairs before performances and entrances began. Performances began with their Mehndi dance, followed by Garba. Haldi began the next day at Cheyenne Mountain Resort with a family ceremony and dancing, with refreshments and catering from Urban Tandoor for lunch. Shreya and Rahul’s Sangeet began in the evening with an incredible dance floor from TH Entertainment, featuring family dance performances from the bride’s and groom’s families—catering from Monk’s Denver and Urban Tandoor with a bar for the evening celebrations. For Shreya and Rahul’s ceremony, Kashi Yatra began, and the groom’s family received Shreya at the entrance of the Mandapam. Rituals in their ceremony, such as the Maalai Matral/Varmala, were then celebrated after the Kashi Yatra, and their Hawan ceremony continued with the Pradhana Homam, the Ammi Midithal, the Arundhati Star, Sammandhi Mariyaadhai, and the Laaja Homam. The ceremony ended with Akshadai Shower and Paladhaanam. For their wedding reception, Shreya and Rahul opted for the Remington Ballroom at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, with family toasts and speeches, a buffet-style dinner from Monk’s Denver, and MC entertainment from TH Entertainment. Afterward, Shreya and Rahul cut their cake from The Sugar Plum Cake Shoppe to ‘Islands in the Stream’ by Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, with their wedding weekend ending absolutely beautifully with fireworks.”
