Engagement Session with Dogs, Drinks and Divine Views

“Once upon a March evening in 2017, in a Denver bar, two souls found each other…Danika and Alex. After a couple of drinks and heartwarming chats, Alex’s phone died and he forgot to get my number. Thankfully, his Best Man Landon remembered my name and he was able to use social media to find me and officially ask for my number. After two months of being a little hesitant about going on a date, Alex’s persistence eventually persuaded me. Our first official date was set for Angelo’s Taverna in May 2017 and I knew after that date, that I would never be single again. As they say, first impressions last a lifetime, but Osie, my six-year-old furry sidekick, thought otherwise! She tried her best to ward Alex off for an entire year. Little did she know, Alex was here to stay! In our journey of love, our hearts expanded and our home got livelier. First, Blu waltzed into our lives in October 2018, melting our hearts instantly, only to be followed by Sweet P a month later. Two foster fails? Absolutely! But can you blame us? By 2019, with three dogs under our roof, we realized our canine crew deserved the world – and by that, we mean a sprawling backyard. And so, they got their dream come true – a home in Denver, complete with squirrels they could endlessly chase! As time passed, our bond deepened, leading to a magical moment on December 23rd, 2022. Picture this: a cozy home setting, the air filled with love, our three dogs watching in excitement, and Alex, down on one knee, asking me to be his forever. Dreamy, right? Some may say we did things a tad “backwards,” but isn’t that what makes stories memorable? Ours is a tale of unexpected moments, boundless love, and of course, our furry family. It’s imperfectly perfect. It’s simply… us.”
