Enchanting Wedding Full of Southwestern Charm

“We’ve been together for five years and got engaged in June of 2021, while hiking with our dog in Vail. While planning our wedding, we wanted it to feel very personal and unique; Lindsey was born in New Mexico, and Piper’s always loved skiing Taos, and we just fell in love with the Stakeout when we visited (on a really rainy, gloomy day – so we knew it was great). We wanted the wedding to feel true to the soul of New Mexico, but also wanted to infuse modern and dramatic elements into the design wherever possible. Our venue, and the team at our venue, made it really fun and easy for us to successfully execute on (I actually cannot say enough nice things about their team, specifically James and Emma). We leaned on black, white, and green florals, created a Zia Sun inspired wedding logo, organized our tables as native plants, and used tableware and decor from local artisans. It was really important to us that our guests felt involved in, and immersed in, our wedding, especially given the logistics of traveling to Taos for many out of towners. We had our best friend as our officiant, and read vows to each other at the ceremony, to make it really intimate and special, and later had a band play classic hits we knew our parents and families would love, before another of our best friends DJed an after party at our venue full of our friends’ current favorite songs. It was truly the best day to celebrate with the people that mean the most to us in such a magical place.”
