“On the cusp of the Spring season, this group of wildly talented vendors who value sustainability put their heads together to bring soft, old world romance into a typically more industrial setting; the unique Cable Center building in the heart of Denver. After a long winter, it was refreshing for the women involved to bring in soft colors, locally sourced florals in blush tones, like Spring finally blooming into a building that has every photographers dream; ample natural and diffused light. Alyce and Cody are a real, in love couple. Alyce is the beauty, but also the brains behind the stunning cakes she makes for her company, Alyce in Flourland. The two understood the assignment of really letting their romance shine in these photos and even settled into some vintage posing. Mandie, owner of Thistle and Pine Photography, really wanted to incorporate 35mm film photography into these photos and shot four rolls of portra 400 to naturally add grain and a French aesthetic. Her inspiration was editorials that had been shot in countryside chateaus; but it just so happened this Chateau was the Cable Center. Between the jaw dropping tablescape, thoughtfully curated flat lays and stationary, true love between the couple, a flowing and breathtaking gown, unique photography angles and pops of muted colors; this shoot dripped in old world romance and brought the vision to life for the vendors who needed a breath of fresh air in their work.”
