“Lars proposed to Margaret over Labor Day weekend in Aspen. The couple first met the summer before high school and later reconnected at a hometown party before graduation. Harmoniously, they had been together ever since. During their trip, they were engaged at the Maroon Bells, a scenic hiking area with stunning views of the mountains. They spent the remainder of the day at the top of Aspen Mountain while they called all of their friends and family to share the news. Inspired by the beauty of Colorado, Margaret and Lars hosted a wedding day that celebrated mountains, wildflowers, and western style. To create this modern feeling of mountain elegance, their day was hosted at Hotel Jerome, located at the foot of Aspen Mountain. Invitation suites set the feel for an earthy color palette in delicate sandy tones. They were married in a Catholic Mass ceremony, where Margaret recalled the dreamlike feeling as they left the church and heard church bells ringing. Margaret wore a ballgown by Lela Rose with a modern scoop neckline, spaghetti straps, and a low back. She paired this look with a dainty necklace and simple diamond drop earrings. The couple returned to their venue, greeted by a reception with endless white wildflowers and greenery. The Grand Ballroom boasted its Victorian-era elegance, striped wallpaper, and a continuation of the gentle taupe color scheme. Tables were set in neutral linens and tiny bud vases with individual blooms were set in each one. The wedding cake and a wildflower installation were combined to create a gorgeous and layered scene. The couple posed for editorial photos outdoors in the evening’s glow, accompanied by mountain views. For Margaret’s second look, she wore a timeless silk slip gown. And making one final transformation, Margaret changed into a festive floral beaded gown, complete with fringed sleeves and champagne-colored sparkle.”
